By downloading or using OnBored, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
OnBored is a peer-to-peer communication app developed by an independent developer that allows airline passengers to communicate with each other during a flight using Bluetooth and WiFi Direct technology. The app operates entirely offline and requires no internet connection.
You agree to use OnBored only for lawful purposes. You must not use the app to:
All messages and session data within OnBored are ephemeral — they exist only for the duration of your session and are permanently deleted when you close the app. Transcom has no ability to retrieve, review, or moderate past conversations. Users are solely responsible for their own conduct within the app.
OnBored depends on Bluetooth and WiFi Direct hardware capabilities. We cannot guarantee that the app will function on all devices, in all locations, or at all times. The app is provided as-is, and we make no warranty that it will be available, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
OnBored, its name, logo, and all associated branding are the property of the developer. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without express written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of OnBored shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of OnBored, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of goodwill, or damages resulting from communications made through the app.
Any content you send through OnBored is your sole responsibility. Because all messages are peer-to-peer and ephemeral, Transcom does not have access to, store, or moderate user content. You agree not to send content that would be unlawful or harmful to others.
OnBored uses Bluetooth and WiFi Direct which may be subject to airline restrictions. Always follow the instructions of the flight crew and comply with your airline's policies regarding electronic device usage. Transcom accepts no responsibility for any breach of airline regulations arising from use of the app.
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be published at onbored.com/terms with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
